Is it a bird, is it a plane......no its cyclone Hamish!!!

Isnt it just amazing the diverse weather we are having here in oz at the moment. We have had a week of no rain (our first since end of Dec) and now a cyclone has formed, intensified rapidly and is heading our way. Some low lying spots in Mackay are already under evacuation as there is expected to be a tidal surge and high tides...arghh. Lucky i'm slightly out of town so tides dont affect us but mum and dad have already picked my nanna up and taken her to their place as she has a tidal drain behind hers. Islands in the whitsundays have already been evacuated too...how scary for them. ok off to put my photos up high and dry ....and maybe covered in plastic.
